17th March 2020: 6th GRADE

ptr

Morning, kids!! Today I have for you another beautiful text/poem by Dallas Clayton from his book:

Today you have to read and carefully analyse this text called "Enemies":

ptr

Your enemies like drawing pictures

Just the same as you

they like music

and dancing

and singing and laughing

and playing a red kazoo.

And they even like

to ride on a bike

but you'll only find out when

your enemies aren't your enemies

'cause you call your enemies friends

Did you like it? Isn't it wonderful? Now you have to answer the following questions, look up the words you need here.

1. Did you like it? Why?

2. What is the author trying to say?

3. Write two more verses.

  8. WOW!! Gabriela, Tomás, Hugo, Lucas, Mateo and Emma... Welcome and what a great job all of you!!
I see there are different interpretations... and that's good!!

I think that Dallas wants to make us think about our "enemies"... Who are they? Are they really different from us? Why do we call them enemies?

The author thinks that if we give them a chance and if we try to get to know them... we will find out they are so similar to us and may be, we will start calling them friends... Isn't it true?

    Big hug!!

1: YES, BECAUSE EXPLAIN VERY GOOD THAT YOUR ENEMIES CAN BE YOUR FRIENDS.

2: THAT ALL PEOPLE HAVE SOMETHING IN COMMON.

3: YOUR ENEMIES CAN BE YOUR FRIENDS,
YOU JUST HAVE TO LOOK FOR SOMETHING THAT WILL UNITE YOU.

  11. Did you like it? Why?

I really like it, because I think it means that you enemies do the same as you: they play, dande, sing, and that should know more about the other that he is your enemies.
    And he is right.

2 I think it means that enemies do the same as you: they play, dande, sing, and that you should know more about the other person to say that he is your enemies.

    3 Write two more verses:
Why did you decide that they were going to be your enemies?
If they do the same as you.
